About

Welcome to my website!

I am Professor for Data Science in Economics at Ruhr University Bochum, Visiting Professor at the Data Science Institute of the London School of Economics and Political Science, and Associate Fellow at the ESRC Digital Futures at Work Research Centre at the University of Sussex.

My research examines how artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, industrial policy and geoeconomic developments shape firms, workers, regions and transformation. A particular focus lies on European competitiveness, technological change and firm-level evidence from Germany.
